Refund Policy
We want Preston-Check to be useful before you commit. The open-source scanner is free forever and runs locally with no account required, so you can fully evaluate the core product before paying for the SaaS layer. That said, paid plans come with a clear refund window for cases where the SaaS features turn out not to fit.
14-day money-back guarantee on new subscriptions
If you subscribe to a paid plan and decide within 14 days of your initial payment that the SaaS features are not a fit, email support@preston-check.com from the address on your subscription with the order ID, and we will refund the most recent payment in full. The refund typically reaches your card or bank within 5–10 business days, subject to your card issuer’s processing time. The 14-day guarantee applies once per customer and only to the first paid subscription period; subsequent renewals follow the pro-rata policy below.
Annual plans — pro-rated refund on cancellation
For annual plans, you may cancel at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal (linked from the customer portal’s Billing tab) or by emailing support. On cancellation we refund the unused portion of the current annual term, calculated as the annual fee multiplied by (days remaining in the term / 365). Pro-rated refunds are processed within 10 business days. The signed license file is revoked at the time of refund; access to the SaaS dashboard ends at the same point.
Monthly plans
Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time and access continues to the end of the current billing period. We do not pro-rate partial months for monthly plans, but no further charges are made.
What is not refundable
Stripe processing fees on chargebacks initiated outside this policy. Audit-package PDF generation credits already consumed. Custom integration work, training, or professional services delivered before the refund request (unless the work is materially defective).
How to request a refund
Email support@preston-check.com from the address on your subscription with the subject line “Refund request” and include your customer ID (visible on any invoice email from Stripe) and a brief reason. The reason is for our improvement loop only and is not used to evaluate eligibility within the 14-day window.
Disputes
If we cannot resolve a refund question by email within 30 days, you retain all rights under your local consumer protection law and any rights granted by your payment card issuer (typically Visa, Mastercard, or American Express dispute processes through Stripe).
